Thorpe Park Review

Journey To Thorpe Park:

I left my house at 7:15am where I met Leanne Tomkins at my bus stop; we then waited for Daniel Poulloura. Leanne needed to stop off at the shop to buy her lunch which took her over 10minutes to decide on what she was getting. We then made our journey to school. When we arrived at the school we got onboard the coach. We then started the journey to Thorpe Park .At first I felt fine. I was a little bit nervous. As the journey slowly continued my car sickness kicked in. This dragged out until we had arrived at the entrance of Thorpe Park  . At that moment my car sickness transformed into nerves jumping around my belly.

Thirty Minutes Before Workshop:

During the free time we were given before we were taken on the 45minute talk about different ways you can die on a roller coaster, Daniel, Leanne and I went nosing around all the rides. All the rides we looked at my instant reaction was “not going on that one”. We took a long walk to Saw the Maze to be greeted by a disserted maze. One of the rides I was considering taking part in was closed. How sad. I looked at my watch and was alerted by the time. We rushed back to the meeting area. However I lead Leanne and Daniel the wrong way and may have got lost a few times. We finally arrived at the meeting area to find out that we were the first people there.

ICT Workshop:

As we were welcomed with a roller coaster graphic design the talks man Dave (what I called him) rapidly began his presentation. I personally was engaged with his presentation due to the fact that I was 100% convinced that my death will be caused by a roller coaster. Dave asked questions throughout the whole presentation which I was raced to answer by people like Fazl, Ardit and others. Miss Guzman was like she was back in school when she was in the workshop. Anyways many of my answers revolved around dying on the roller coaster. Dave had introduced how the roller coasters are run. This is done by using sensors all the way along the roller coaster. He then went on to talk about if there is a fault or slight difference in the way the roller coaster is going the sensors would send a message to the control panel which will then trigger the breaks to shut down the roller coaster.

Rest of the Day – Rides:
First of all Daniel, Leanne and I went on Tidal Wave (one time). This wasn’t what I expected. I knew that there was going to be a steep drop but I didn’t think that you would get as wet as you did. I did enjoy the ride because it was a rush. But I personally don’t like the feeling when you’re on the drop. There was one point of the day where me and Leanne stood on the bridge and waited for the wave. Elvire, Frankie, Asma and Daniel were all watching. The wave came and took out both me and Leanne out. Elvire then said that we had been “KO’d”.

After that we decided to go on the other wet ride Storm Surge (one time) seen as we were already drenched. The man controlling the ride was funny because every time Leanne went to speak he would move the ring thing that we were in which will make her fall off her seat. It was funny. This ride was alright the only reason I didn’t like it was because my shoes were soaked when I got off. Not good.

A while after the Merry Go Round caught our eyes Daniel instantly refused to go on it but Leanne and I made him got on it. During the ride we saw Daniel smile. I assumed it was because he was enjoying himself. We only went on this ride once.

We then went onboard the Mr Monkeys Banana Ride (one time). There was a four year old also on it with her parents. Daniel, Leanne and I all seemed to find this ride makes your belly go weird. All three of us had curled up faces however the four year old had a smile on her face the whole time.
We then took a slow walk to the Spinning Cups where we had stayed on for a long time. I began to feel sick after eight turns in a role however, both Daniel and Leanne stayed on for another two turns. I felt like throwing up.

Rumba Rapids later caught my eye. We go on board this ride. I personally enjoyed this ride. The first time we went on this ride when we went through the dark tunnel we all thought we were going to get attacked by zombies but fortunately we didn’t. We went on this for seven times in a row. Then we came together with Elvire, Frankie and Asma for another two turns. We talked about our day and then Elvire told us about the next ride we went on... No Way Out.

When we reached X (No Way Out) my reaction was generally scared because I knew Elvire was up to something. When we entered the ride it was a maze. Elvire done a scene from her movie she is later going to release walking through it. We then reached the roller coaster. I was actually excited. We sat on board and I began to fix my lace. A while after I realized that the man was waiting to put my bar down. Awkward. The ride shot off into this dark area and then BOOM! Music started blaring and disco lights started flashing the roller coaster kicked off and my arms instantly went up in the air and I started screaming. This was my favourite ride of the whole day. When we came out we decided to go on it again. This time I was doing Elvire’s scene from her movie with her and again we got into the roller coaster. I was expecting the ride to be at the same speed as the last turn but it seemed to go faster which shocked me.
